Jim Shaw’s Ace Aviation Academy
2020 Charity Golf Tournament Postponement
Due to the on-going COVID 19 pandemic disruption, Jim Shaw’s Ace Aviation Academy of Winston Salem will regretfully postpone the planned Oct 14, 2020 Charity Golf Tournament fundraising event to be held this year at Maple Chase Golf & Country Club. This decision was reached after looking at multiple options to consider the safety of our supporters. We will be monitoring the situation and exploring options to reschedule the fundraising tournament. Updates for the tournament will be shared on our web site (email@example.com).
We would like to thank our donors that have supported our past fundraisers along with the Maple Chase Golf & Country Club. Through your support, Jim Shaw’s Ace Aviation Academy has introduced hundreds of middle and high school students to the world of aviation and career opportunities within the industry. For over 10 years we have curated the best-in-class summer aviation camp programs for middle and high school students and plan to continue that mission.
We are looking forward to a better year in 2021 as we make plans for our next fundraiser and summer camp programs. For more information and opportunities to donate, contact us at (336) 306-8145 or visit our website at (firstname.lastname@example.org),
Join Mr. Shaw in introducing the aviation industry and aviation opportunities to our area middle school and high school age students.
Middle and high school students will have the opportunity to learn more about aviation and aviation-related job opportunities at Aviation Career Education (ACE) academies that will be held across North Carolina this summer. Students will learn about the theory of flight, aviation’s history, aircraft maintenance and new technologies. Attendees will study real world aviation applications, aviation principles such as thrust and vectoring, and aircraft construction. They also will have the opportunity to fly radio-controlled aircraft and work on aircraft model design projects, as well as take field trips to aviation industry businesses and have the opportunity to fly in an airplane.
